Complete Rules of the Competition “Able to Compete” (hereinafter referred to as the “Rules”)

The purpose of this document is to set out the rules of the competition titled “Able to Compete” (hereinafter also referred to as the “Competition”).


I. Competition Organizer and Promoter

1. The organizer and promoter of the Competition is Able.cz s.r.o ID No.: 24278815, TIN: CZ24278815, with, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in Brno, Section C, Insert 85425 (hereinafter referred to as "Organizer").


II. Aim of the Competition


1. The aim of the Competition is for individuals who enter the Competition in accordance with Article IV of these Rules (hereinafter also referred to as “Participants”) to prepare a competition entry in accordance with the assignment described in Article V of these Rules (hereinafter also referred to as the “Competition Entry”) and submit it to the Organizer within the deadline and in the format specified in Article V of these Rules. Furthermore, based on the evaluation process described in detail in Article VI of these Rules, the Organizer will award a prize (reward) in accordance with Article VII of these Rules to the Participant who submits the best Competition Entry that meets all the conditions and rules set out in these Rules.


III. Time and Place of the Competition


1. The Competition will run from October 9, 2025, to December 31, 2025 (inclusive).

 

2. The results of the Competition will be announced no later than January 31, 2026. The winner of the Competition will be informed of the prize and its awarding by the Organizer via email between February 1, 2026, and February 11, 2026. Subsequently, the winner and their Competition Entry will be published on the Organizer's social media accounts.

 

3. Participants may prepare their Competition Entries anywhere.

 

IV. Entering the Competition

 

1. Registration of Participants will begin on October 9, 2025.

 

2. Registration of Participants will end on December 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. After this date, no further applications for the Competition will be accepted, unless otherwise decided by the Organizer.


3. Only individuals may enter the Competition, that is, natural persons over the age of 18 who possess the necessary legal capacity and whose permanent residence and mailing address are located in the Czech Republic.


4. Participants enter the Competition by sending an email from their own email address to the Organizer's address: challenge@abletocompete.ai, in which the Participant states their first and last name. By sending this email, each Participant completes a unique registration. Immediately after sending this email, the Participant will receive a confirmation email containing the assignment and instructions for preparing the Competition Entry in accordance with Article V, paragraph 1 of these Rules.


5. If a Participant fails to meet any of the conditions or requirements specified in Article IV of these Rules, they will be excluded from the Competition.


V. Preparation of the Competition Entry


1. The Participant who has entered the Competition in accordance with Article IV, paragraph 4 of these Rules will prepare a Competition Entry based on the binding assignment and instructions for preparing the Competition Entry (hereinafter also referred to as the “Assignment”). The Assignment will be sent to each Participant immediately after their registration for the Competition in accordance with Article IV, paragraph 4 of these Rules, to the email address which the Participant used when registering for the Competition.


2. The Participant has 5 hours to prepare and submit the Competition Entry to the Organizer. This period begins at the moment the Assignment is delivered to the Participant’s email address provided when registering for the Competition in accordance with Article IV, paragraph 4 of these Rules.


3. The Participant submits the Competition Entry to the Organizer by sending it to the email address challenge@abletocompete.ai. The Participant may submit the Competition Entry preferably as a URL link or via Dropbox, or alternatively in another format or through another method that makes it possible for the Organizer to read and objectively evaluate it. However, the metadata of the submitted Competition Entry must clearly show that the Participant did not exceed the time limit for the completion and submission of the Competition Entry specified in Article V, paragraph 2 of these Rules.


4. By sending the Competition Entry to the email address challenge@abletocompete.ai, the Participant declares and confirms that the Participant is the sole author of the submitted Competition Entry and that the Competition Entry does not infringe on the rights of third parties.


5. By sending the Competition Entry to the email address: challenge@abletocompete.ai, the Participant hereby, without further conditions and free of charge, transfers to the Organizer the right to exercise the property copyrights to the Competition Entry, and the Competition Organizer accepts this right.


6. In the event that, for any reason, the transfer referred to in the preceding paragraph is found to be invalid or ineffective (even in part), a license agreement for the Competition Entry (or the part thereof that has not been transferred in accordance with the preceding paragraph) will be concluded between the Participant, as the licensor, and the Organizer, as the licensee, at the moment the Competition Entry is submitted. This license agreement contains the following: (i) The Participant grants the Organizer an exclusive, royalty-free, time and territory unlimited license to the Competition Entry, which the Organizer is entitled to use for all purposes defined in Act No. 121/2000 Coll., the Copyright Act, as amended, Act No. 478/1992 Coll., on Utility Models, as amended, and Act No. 207/2000 Coll., on Industrial Designs Protection, as amended, in particular for any modifications, adaptations, or combination with another work without the author's consent, for any purposes of the Organizer (hereinafter referred to as the "License") ; (ii) The Organizer accepts the License; (iii) The Participant waives the right to demand any additional remuneration for granting the License; (iv) The Organizer is not obliged to use the granted License; (v) The Participant authorises the Organiser to transfer the aforementioned rights, fully or in part, to a third party without the Participant’s prior consent.


VI. Evaluation of the Competition Entry


1. Competition Entries will be evaluated by an expert internal jury composed of IT professionals and specialists from the Organizer's team (hereinafter also referred to as the "Expert Jury"). The Organizer is not obliged to disclose the members of the Expert Jury.


2. Based on its evaluation, the Expert Jury will select the one best (winning) Competition Entry, that is, the winner of the Competition (hereinafter also referred to as the "Winner").


3. The Competition Entries will be evaluated by the Expert Jury primarily on the basis of the quality, complexity, functionality, and comprehensiveness of the overall solution, the practical applicability of the solution presented in the Competition Entry, and the speed of completion and submission. The Expert Jury will determine the Winner at its sole discretion and may freely change its evaluation criteria at any time. The Expert Jury is not obliged to publish its evaluation criteria, any records of the evaluation of individual Competition Entries or the voting of the Expert Jury. The meeting of the Expert Jury is not open to the public.


4. The selection of the Winner based on the evaluation of the Expert Jury is final and cannot be appealed.


5. The Winner of the Competition will be informed of their prize, as described in detail in Article VII of these Rules, by the Organizer via the email address challenge@abletocompete.ai to the Participant's email address provided during the online registration in accordance with Article III of these Rules. This will take place between January 1, 2026, and January 11, 2026. The Winner is obliged to follow the Organizer's instructions provided by the Organizer in the aforementioned email, particularly to provide their banking details for the purpose of transferring the prize described in Article VII of these Rules.


6. The Winner, or rather the Winner's first and last name, together with the Competition Entry, will be published on the Organizer's social media accounts.


VII. Prize


1. The prize for the best Competition Entry in the Competition is 100,000 Czech crowns (in words: one hundred thousand Czech crowns) (hereinafter also referred to as the "Prize").


2. By entering the Competition, the Winner acknowledges that, in the event of winning the Prize, they are obliged to duly and timely fulfill all their obligations, in particular tax obligations, arising under applicable laws. The Winner acknowledges that the Organizer is entitled to deduct the applicable withholding tax from the Prize, unless the Organizer explicitly states that this tax will be paid on behalf of the Winner.


3. The Winner is not obliged to accept the prize; in such a case, the prize will be forfeited. The Prize will also be forfeited if the Winner fails to meet the conditions required to receive it.


4. Enforcement of the prize through legal action is excluded.


VIII. Disqualification of a Participant from the Competition


1. Each Participant is allowed to enter the Competition only once. It is not permitted for a single Participant to use multiple email addresses to enter the Competition. The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify, at its sole discretion, any Participant or Competition Entry suspected of duplication or other forms of manipulation.


2. The Participant is obliged to follow the Organizer's instructions in accordance with these Rules. Otherwise, the Organizer has the right to disqualify the Participant from the Competition. Furthermore, the Organizer may disqualify any Participant who acts contrary to the content or purpose of these Rules, fails to meet the obligations set out herein, does not meet the eligibility criteria, or acts in violation of applicable laws or good morals.


3. Upon request, the Participant is required to provide the Organizer with the information necessary for their identification (in particular: first name, last name, address, date of birth, phone number, and email), and to notify the Organizer of any changes without delay. If the Participant fails to provide the required information, provides false information, or if the Participant cannot be contacted or identified based on the information provided, the Organizer is entitled to disqualify the Participant from the Competition. The same applies to information necessary for awarding the Prize, including the bank account number.


4. By being disqualified from the Competition, the Participant loses all rights arising from participation and forfeits any potential Prize. If the Organizer disqualifies the Winner, they are not obliged to repeat the Competition. The Organizer is not required to inform the Participant of their disqualification, however, they will do so upon the Participant’s request.


5. If the Organizer discovers that a person participating in the Competition does not meet the eligibility criteria or has been disqualified from participation, the provisions on disqualification from the Competition will apply accordingly.


6. If the Participant fails to meet any of the conditions or requirements set out in Article V of these Rules, or if any statement made by the Participant in accordance with these Rules is found to be untrue, the Participant will be disqualified from the Competition and will be obliged to compensate the Organizer for any damage incurred as a result.


IX. Information on the Processing of Personal Data


The Organizer, as the data controller, processes the personal data of Participants to the extent specified below, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR”). Detailed information on the management of personal data by the Organizer is available here.


2. By entering the Competition in the manner described in detail in Article IV of these Rules, the Participant declares and acknowledges without dispute that they consent to the provision of their personal data and its processing by the Organizer for the purposes of the Competition. This includes, in particular, sending the binding assignment and instructions to the Participant’s email address, evaluating the Competition results, publishing the Winner’s name on the Organizer’s social media accounts, and awarding the Prize to the Winner. The Organizer is the data controller of the following personal data: first name, last name, email, address, date of birth, and phone number. In the case of the Winner, the bank account number is also included.


3. Participants may also choose to give their consent to receive job offers. If a Participant does not give consent to receive job offers, this will not affect their participation in the Competition.


4. The provision of personal data by the Participant to the extent specified in this article is a prerequisite for participation in the Competition and for the potential awarding of the Prize. If these data are not provided, the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the Participant from the Competition.


5. The period for processing personal data provided for the purposes of the Competition is two months after the end of the Competition and the announcement of the Winner. After this period, the personal data will be destroyed. If the Participant consented to receive job offers, the consent is granted for an indefinite period from the time the consent is given until it is withdrawn.


6. The method of processing is electronic and partially automated.


7. The personal data of the data subject are not transferred to a third country, an international organization, or persons other than the Organizer.


8. The Participant has the right to request access to their personal data from the controller, as well as the correction, deletion, or restriction of processing of said data. The Participant may withdraw their consent to the processing of personal data at any time by sending an email to: challenge@abletocompete.ai. However, if the Participant withdraws their consent to the processing of personal data, they will be automatically excluded from the Competition. Without the processing of personal data, it is not possible to participate in the Competition.


9. In case of any doubts regarding the observance of rights, the Participant may contact the controller at their address or via email at challenge@abletocompete.ai. At this email address, the Participant may submit objections, requests, complaints, or other inquiries to the controller. The supervisory authority is the Office for Personal Data Protection, to which the Participant may submit a complaint.


X. Final Provisions


1. By entering the Competition in the manner described in detail in Article IV, paragraph 4 of these Rules, the Participant declares and confirms without dispute that they have read these Rules prior to entering the Competition, fully understood them, agree with them, and will comply with them, and at the same time confirms that they meet the conditions for participation in the Competition.


2. The Organizer reserves the right to make decisions on all matters related to the organization of the Competition, including changes to the Rules, interruption of the Competition, suspension of the Competition, early termination of the Competition, or disqualification of any Participant from the Competition, all without any entitlement to compensation for incurred costs, the Prize, or any other performance by the Organizer. The Organizer is entitled to make decisions stated in this paragraph at any time during the Competition, up until the moment the prizes are awarded. These matters will be communicated to the Participants by publishing the relevant information on the Organizer’s website or social media accounts.


3. These rules are complete and binding for all Participants. The current, complete, and binding version of these Rules is available on the Organizer's website: www.abletocompete.ai.


4. Changes to these Rules are effective upon their publication on the Organizer's website: www.abletocompete.ai. The Organizer is not obliged to notify Participants of any changes to the Rules.


5. In the event of a dispute, the Organizer is entitled to assess and make a final decision on any matter related to the Competition.


6. The Organizer is not liable for any potential damage incurred by Participants in connection with the Competition, in particular for damage incurred as a result of any technical issues related to participation in the Competition.


7. The Competition is governed exclusively by these Rules. Brief texts about the Competition posted on the website or in advertising materials of the Organizer or other persons are for informational purposes only and are not binding on the Organizer in any way.


8. These Rules are effective as of October 8, 2025
